Sky Resort LLC, a Mongolian-Korean joint venture, is established as a resort and hospitality management business that includes ski, golf, hotel, and resort facility development. /tourism deleted/ The company’s initial undertaking is a US $30-million project to build a premium Ski & Golf Resort in Khurkheree valley near Ulaanbaatar city, the ski resort opened in 2009 and the golf scheduled to open in 2011. Sky Resort LLC is working with suppliers and contractors from France, Italy, Australia, USA, Spain and South Korea to introduce environmentally-friendly and sustainable technologies in the construction of the resort. Set to become the very first world-standard ski resort in Mongolia, the facility will be a recreation outlet for Mongolians as well as a training ground for amateur and professional sports people.
